Finding a large commercial building with unrealised floor space we managed to retain the existing 6,500 sqm of commercial space and develop a 55 residential apartment complex on the same site, without interrupting the operation of the commercial towers. With Phil Thalis & Associates & REDSHIFT architecture we developed a modern, striking and ageless residential tower, that makes a confident statement amongst a street of 1980’s walk-up brick apartment blocks, initiating a rebirth of this neglected street so close to the beating heart of Bankstown.
As always, our location selection was prescient, as the surrounding streets continue to evolve in our wake; the University of Western Sydney University completed in 2023 and the impending redevelopment of Bankstown Central shopping centre, with proposed restaurants, apartments and office buildings; an epicentre of activity, all within a few hundred meters of a new bus interchanges and state of the art Bankstown to Sydenham Metro.
